It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle, however. If you're in need of it clean the mopping pad, it can be swapped for one that is wet in just a few minutes. 2. iRobot Roomba The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to mop floors. This is something we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combination. 3. Roomba X40 from iRobot With an elegant circular design that appears more like a normal Roomba rather than the boxy units this mop and robot vacuum is among the most attractive looking models in our tests. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also its smartest. It features advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads autonomously). It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that scored an exemplary 10/10 in our tests due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it boasts its own self-cleaning mop pads. The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to use. It comes with an intuitive mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that it's still quite a noisy unit that could be a problem if you run it in the morning prior to work, or at night when you attempt to sleep. It's also quite expensive, but it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are similarly capable and more attractive. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful however it's more expensive and make more noise. 4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot mop and vacuum. It also has a front mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time however this was not foolproof in our tests and could be confused with power cords or obstructions. The vacuum cleaner comes with a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to accomplish the task. It also has “Intelligent Dirt Detection”, that regulates the amount of time the vacuum works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home in accordance with how dirty they are. For bigger homes it's recommended to choose a model with spot or zone cleaning modes that allow you to tell the robot to clean one particular area of your house by using the app or voice controls. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, plan an area for cleaning or to prioritize your most filthy rooms for better performance. The app offers a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings. Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, which means it is able to reach corners and underneath furniture more easily. It features a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction, as well as sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean which will thoroughly clean a specific area.
